Rencontre citoyenne \u00e0 Scy-Chazelles<\/strong><\/p>\n Des citoyennes et citoyens \u00e2g\u00e9s de toute la Grande R\u00e9gion \u2013 Moselle, r\u00e9gion de Nancy, Luxembourg, Arlon en Wallonie, Sarre et Rh\u00e9nanie-Palatinat \u2013 se sont r\u00e9unis dans le cadre du projet europ\u00e9en \u00ab Senior activ II \u00bb<\/strong> pour une excursion d\u2019une journ\u00e9e. La question centrale \u00e9tait : Que signifie \u00eatre citoyen ou citoyenne europ\u00e9en\u00b7ne ?<\/em><\/p>\n La journ\u00e9e a commenc\u00e9 par une visite de la maison de Robert Schuman, l’un des p\u00e8res fondateurs de l’Union europ\u00e9enne. Les participants ont pu d\u00e9couvrir sa vie simple et apprendre comment son action a fa\u00e7onn\u00e9 les fondements de l’unification europ\u00e9enne. L’exposition et les anecdotes personnelles ont montr\u00e9 comment des id\u00e9es novatrices peuvent na\u00eetre de conditions de vie modestes. Pour de nombreuses personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es qui ont v\u00e9cu la guerre ou en gardent des souvenirs, cette visite a \u00e9t\u00e9 particuli\u00e8rement \u00e9mouvante.<\/p>\n Lors d\u2019un atelier au Couvent des R\u00e9collets \u00e0 Metz, propos\u00e9 par le Centre Europ\u00e9en Robert Schuman (CERS), il est devenu \u00e9vident pour tous les participant\u00b7e\u00b7s que la citoyennet\u00e9 europ\u00e9enne n\u2019est pas une id\u00e9e abstraite, mais se vit dans les \u00e9changes personnels et l\u2019engagement commun. L\u2019Europe prend forme l\u00e0 o\u00f9 les gens assument des responsabilit\u00e9s au-del\u00e0 des fronti\u00e8res et tissent des liens.<\/p>\n L\u2019initiative se poursuivra : de nouvelles excursions et formats d\u2019\u00e9changes permettront de mieux int\u00e9grer les voix des personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es et de cr\u00e9er des r\u00e9seaux durables dans la Grande R\u00e9gion.
